Motivation is a big factor when it comes to studying, working, or just going through life, so today we want to share a word that you can say to show others or yourself some support!

What is はげます?

Hagemasu (はげます) means to encourage someone emotionally or give them moral support.

How to use はげます?
We use hagemasu when these situations occur:

  • Before an important exam or project, you show them moral support by saying “You can do it!” or “Ganbatte!” 📢

  • When someone is sad or lonely, you comfort them by saying “It’s okay, I’m here for you!” 🫂
